During a chat with host Gaurav Kapur on the YouTube show ‘Breakfast with Champions’ a few years ago, Kohli humorously recounted instances where Rohit would often misplace or forget things.
“The number of things Rohit Sharma forgets, I have never seen anyone else being this forgetful. iPad, wallet, phone, not the small things, but things for daily use. He (Rohit Sharma) has forgotten his passport two or three times. It was very hard to retrieve it,” Kohli had said on the show.
During last year’s Asia Cup, a widely circulated video on social media captured the moment Rohit Sharma anxiously waited for his passport, which he had inadvertently left in his Colombo hotel room. While the rest of the Indian team had already boarded the bus, Rohit stood at the entrance, cheered on by fans outside.
