The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has already sparked tensions between Indian and Pakistani players even before the tournament begins. Pakistani media and ex-cricketers have criticized India for its refusal to travel to Pakistan for the event. Former Pakistan pacer Tanvir Ahmed has been particularly harsh, attacking former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh over his comments on the BCCI’s position regarding the Champions Trophy.
Ahmed not only used derogatory language against Harbhajan for his recent statement but also launched a new, severe criticism, accusing the Indian legend of reopening old issues.
Tanvir Ahmed attacks Harbhajan Singh over Champions Trophy 2025 controversy
Actually, the 2011 World Cup winner has hit back at the Pakistani journalist for trolling him by sharing a screenshot from a 2009 newspaper reporting on the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team’s bus in Pakistan.
Harbhajan used this as a reference to highlight the ongoing security issues in Pakistan, and that’s why he backed BCCI’s stance on the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
Harbhajan Singh wrote in the caption on X alongside the screenshot: “No, not for this. Cricket Mai Jeet har lagi rehti hai. I will tell you the real problem is this. Check the photo ⬇️ . Now get the F. out of here. F ka Matlab samaj aa gya hoga ya samjau? F means your name. Please don’t think what you’re thinking of the meaning of F. You know what I mean, ✌️Peace.”
After the post went viral on social media, Tanvir took another potshot at the Indian legend, and this time he went a step ahead. The former Pakistan pacer has publicly abused Harbhajan for bringing back the memories of the 2009 terror attack on Sri Lankan team buses and proving his point.
Isiliye main isko ghatiya insan bolta hun: Tanvir Ahmed on Harbhajan Singh
Tanveer called Harbhajan “Ghatiya Insan” many times in his viral social media post and even said that the former spinner doesn’t want India and Pakistan to become friends; that’s why he has been posting and saying such things about the security in the country.
Tanveer Ahmed posted on X: “Ghatiya Insaan, ghatiya he hota hai jaisa maine EK ghatiya insan k liye bola hain. (A bastard person remains bastard, just like I mentioned about a certain awful individual.)”
n another post on X, Tanveer said: “Jis ko ghatiya insan bol raha hon us ghatiya insan ki tweet check karo ye cricketer nahi ha ye India pakistan ki dosti nahi chata ye isiliye main isko ghatiya insan bolta hon. Check the tweet of the person I’m calling a bastard. This person is not a cricketer and does not want India-Pakistan friendship, which is why I’m calling him a bastard.”
However, Harbhajan is yet to respond to Tanvir’s derogatory remark, but the Indian fans have been brutally lashing out at the former Pakistan cricketer for using such words for the former player of such caliber, especially when the Champions Trophy 2025 future is still uncertain in Pakistan.
