Jitesh Sharma has appeared in nine T20Is for India, accumulating 100 runs with a strike rate of 147.05. Despite playing two matches in the T20I series against Afghanistan earlier this year, he struggled to make an impact.
His performances in the IPL 2024 were also underwhelming, with 187 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 131.69, which did not attract the selectors’ attention for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Looking ahead, Jitesh aims to shine in the next IPL season and earn a spot back in the national team. He is set to represent Vidarbha in domestic cricket and hopes to prove his worth after missing out on the World Cup. Whether the Punjab Kings will keep him for the next season remains uncertain.
