Pakistan’s young speedster Naseem Shah, renowned for his skill and pace, took a different approach during a training session before Pakistan’s home Test series against Bangladesh. The 21-year-old fast bowler attempted to replicate Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic ‘Siu’ celebration, a move popularized by the Portuguese football legend after scoring goals.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Naseem can be seen engaging in a football game with his teammates. Before kicking the ball, he performed the ‘Siu’ celebration in his own humorous style.

Naseem Shah is set to play a significant role in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh, where he is anticipated to be a key bowler for Pakistan alongside Shaheen Shah Afridi. On flat batting pitches, his effectiveness with both the new and old ball will be vital to Pakistan’s bowling strategy.
Pakistan to Deploy All-Pace Attack for First Test in Rawalpindi
The young pacer can swing the new ball and reverse it effectively when old. Consistently bowling above 140 kmph, he poses a threat to batters with his precise control over line and length.
Pakistan has already dropped Abrar Ahmed, the sole spinner in their squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. This decision means they will opt for an all-pace attack for the second time in a home Test in 28 years.
As a result, Naseem will play a pivotal role in the match. The last instance of an all-pace attack was also in Rawalpindi in 2019, marking Test cricket’s return to Pakistan after a decade.
The first match for Pakistan since T20 World Cup 2024
The two-match Test series is set to start on August 21, with both matches taking place in Rawalpindi. This series is vital for both teams as they seek to earn crucial points for the World Test Championship (WTC).
This will be Pakistan’s first match since their early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024. Despite strong performances from their bowlers, the team’s batting faltered, leading to their elimination.
Naseem Shah will be a key player for Pakistan in the upcoming packed schedule. Following the series against Bangladesh, Pakistan will host England for a three-match Test series.
