Observation Alert: Rohit Sharma Heads Initial Contingent of Indian Squad Embarking for USA Prior to T20 World Cup

The inaugural group of Indian cricketers, led by captain Rohit Sharma and featuring Ravindra Jadeja among others, has landed in Mumbai in preparation for their journey to the USA preceding the T20 World Cup 2024, commencing on June 1st. Accompanied by the support team, including head coach Rahul Dravid, the squad sets off for the USA and subsequently the West Indies, aiming to secure their second T20 World Cup title.

Earlier reports indicated that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are part of the initial contingent of Indian cricketers departing for the T20 World Cup 2024. It was stated that the players would depart from Mumbai to Dubai at 10 PM before catching a connecting flight to New York. Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kuldeep Yadav are among the notable names set to depart the country on Saturday. You can view the complete video below:

Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal are scheduled to depart with the second group of Indian cricketers. Chahal, Jaiswal, Avesh, and Samson concluded their participation in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 following Rajasthan Royals’ defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 36 runs in the Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 24, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Following Mumbai Indians’ inability to advance to the playoffs, Hardik Pandya, the vice-captain of the Indian T20 World Cup team, traveled to London. Hardik engaged in training sessions in London for a brief period, with speculation suggesting the possibility of him joining the national team directly from there.

Batters: Rohit Sharma (captain), Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav.
Wicketkeepers: Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson.
