Dinesh Karthik, the former Indian wicketkeeper, has been named as the batting coach and mentor for the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2025. Karthik recently retired from all forms of cricket in May this year after concluding his final season with RCB.

Having been part of the IPL for 17 years and representing six different franchises, Karthik amassed 4842 runs with 22 half-centuries. He also displayed exceptional skills behind the stumps, claiming 145 catches and effecting 37 stumpings.

On the international stage, Karthik featured prominently with 180 appearances, accumulating 3463 runs and contributing to 172 dismissals. Notably, he was part of India’s victorious campaign in the T20 World Cup.
