During Wimbledon 2024, Sachin Tendulkar expressed his admiration for Roger Federer, envisioning the opportunity to bat alongside the tennis legend. Their brief encounter at the event sparked Tendulkar’s desire to share the field with Federer, showcasing two iconic figures from the world of sports.

“One tennis player I would love to bat with has to be Roger because also he’s got cricketing connections,” Tendulkar told Star Sports, as per PTI, on the sidelines of Wimbledon.

Sachin Tendulkar elaborated on his preference to open in cricket alongside Roger Federer. Reflecting on the Swiss maestro’s connection to the sport, Tendulkar said, “He has got cricketing connections, where his mother is from South Africa and he follows cricket, and when we sat together and chatted, we discussed a lot of cricket and not just tennis. So, it has to be Roger.”
