Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza found humor in his ongoing misfortune with the toss during the fourth T20I against Team India on Saturday (July 13). Throughout the series, luck has evaded Raza as he lost all four tosses leading up to this match.
In the series opener, despite batting first after losing the toss, Zimbabwe clinched a surprising 13-run victory over the favored opponents. However, in subsequent games, India won the toss and chose to bat, securing wins in both encounters.
In the fourth game, India’s Shubman Gill again won the toss but elected to field first. Zimbabwe remains optimistic that the pattern of the team batting first emerging victorious will continue in this ongoing match as well.
And while only will tell how things unfold, Sikandar Raza came up with a humorous response after losing the toss for the fourth time in a row. As soon as the match referee revealed the result of the toss and confirmed that India have won the toss again, Sikandar Raza hilariously questioned the authenticity of the coin, saying: “Does the coin has the same two sides.”
Watch Sikandar Raza’s hilarious response after losing the toss:
“We wanted to bat first. The wicket tends to get slower and slower. We’ve got a vision for 2026, the only way to get better is quality game time. Hopefully our top-three can click. Our idea is for all three departments to perform. The boys are hungry. Wellington Masakadaza misses out. Faraz Akram comes in,” said Sikandar Raza after the toss.
Talking about the game, Zimbabwe have made a steady start with the bat. At the time of writing this report, they were on 40 for no loss in the sixth over. India are currently leading the five-match series 2-1 and Zimbabwe need to win the ongoing game to keep it alive.
