For the first time since 1996, Pakistan is set to host an ICC event, with the highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled to kick off on February 19. The country is eager to rekindle its cricketing glory and showcase its hospitality as eight top teams compete for the prestigious title, marking the return of the tournament after a gap of over seven years. In the last edition of the Champions Trophy in 2017, Pakistan famously triumphed over India in the final, which earned them the right to host this upcoming event.
Three key stadiums in Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore are undergoing extensive renovations to provide world-class facilities for the tournament. These venues will soon transform into battlegrounds where the world’s best teams will fight for supremacy. As excitement builds ahead of the event, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled ticket prices for fans eager to witness the action live.
Ticket prices for Pakistan’s matches start as low as INR 620 and can go up to INR 7,750 for a gallery view, offering fans a range of options to witness the action. For non-Pakistan matches at Karachi Stadium, tickets begin at INR 310, with prices reaching INR 5,580, depending on the seating and fixture. The ticket prices vary across different venues and fixtures, with higher rates for Pakistan’s games compared to other matches, which have more affordable options. As for the much-anticipated India games in Dubai, the ticket prices have yet to be announced.
Champions Trophy 2025 Tickets: Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the COO of the UAE board.
Subhan Ahmed, the COO of the Emirates Cricket Board and former COO of the PCB, shared his thoughts on the ticketing situation for the much-anticipated Champions Trophy. He anticipates a record-breaking crowd for the Dubai leg of the tournament, reflecting the immense excitement surrounding the event. Additionally, Ahmed confirmed that tickets for the ICC event will be sold on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
“With so many Indians and Pakistanis living here, these games are more than just cricket; they’re a celebration,” he said in an interview with Cricket Pakistan. “Fans from both sides come together to support their teams and enjoy the sport, creating an electric atmosphere,” Ahmed remarked. “We expect these matches to be highly entertaining and hope to see record-breaking support from fans,” he added, according to the Indian Express.
“Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fans from both India and Pakistan, as well as others, can enjoy the action,” he mentioned. “We’re committed to making sure cricket lovers can attend without unnecessary obstacles. The UAE offers exceptional facilities and government backing, making it an ideal location for events, even at short notice,” he concluded.
In addition, the ICC, the apex cricket governing body, issued a statement addressing potential conflicts surrounding the hybrid model. Significantly, after assuming leadership of the organization, Jay Shah championed the hybrid model as a solution to the ongoing disputes between cricket boards, particularly between the PCB and BCCI.
“The hybrid model will be implemented for the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan in February and March 2025, as well as for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, to be hosted by India, and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka,” the ICC stated in their announcement.
