Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya thrilled the supporters of the Indian cricket team gathered at Nassau County Stadium in New York during the warm-up match against Bangladesh. He showcased his prowess by smashing Tanvir Islam for three consecutive sixes. The vice-captain’s powerful hits sailed over long off, long on, and deep mid-wicket, leaving Indian fans ecstatic.
Team India took the initiative by winning the coin toss in their sole warm-up match preceding the ICC T20 World Cup. Opting to bat first, captain Rohit Sharma led from the front as he opened the innings with Sanju Samson. Unfortunately, Samson departed early, contributing only a solitary run, leaving India at 11/1.
Rohit Sharma, accompanied by Rishabh Pant, then steadied the ship, but Rohit’s innings concluded at 23 runs. Pant, however, continued his solid performance, reaching a half-century milestone before having to retire hurt.
Shivam Dube chipped in with 14 runs before falling prey to Mahedi Hasan’s bowling prowess. Suryakumar Yadav provided some quick-fire runs, accumulating 31 off just 18 balls before being dismissed by Islam.
Pandya concluded the innings with an unbeaten 40 runs from a mere 22 deliveries, significantly boosting India’s total to 182 runs with the loss of 5 wickets within the stipulated 20 overs. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja remained steadfast at the crease, also unbeaten at 4 runs.
