Amidst a disappointing IPL 2024 season, Indian cricket sensation and captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), Hardik Pandya, finds himself amidst swirling divorce speculations.
The turbulence in the personal life of Indian cricket luminary and Mumbai Indians (MI) captain, Hardik Pandya, comes to light following a lackluster IPL 2024 campaign. Recent rumblings hint at a potential significant loss of assets for Pandya in a divorce settlement with his wife, Serbian model and actress Natasa Stankovic.
The speculation gained momentum notably when Stankovic altered her Instagram username, omitting Pandya’s surname and returning to simply “Natasa Stankovic” from “Natasa Stankovic Pandya”.
Significantly, there has been a conspicuous absence of recent joint photos from the couple, with Pandya notably failing to extend birthday wishes to Stankovic on March 4. Moreover, Stankovic’s absence during the IPL season, where she was typically seen cheering for the Mumbai Indians, further fueled speculation, as it departed from the norm observed in previous seasons.
While these are currently mere speculations, the notion of a potential 70% asset loss stems from India’s alimony laws. If these rumors prove to be true, it could present a substantial financial setback for the 30-year-old cricketer, impacting a significant portion of his wealth.
Pandya popped the question to the actress during a romantic yacht outing in January 2020, culminating in their intimate wedding ceremony on May 31, 2020. Their bundle of joy, Agastya, arrived in July 2020, followed by a dreamy wedding renewal in Udaipur on Valentine’s Day 2023.
In the cricketing arena, Pandya made a comeback to MI for the 17th edition of IPL following a successful two-year stint with the Gujarat Titans (GT), during which the franchise secured a title in 2022 and ended as runners-up in the subsequent season. Despite this, the 30-year-old decided to rejoin his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians, where he assumed the role of captaincy from the veteran cricketer Rohit Sharma.
However, Pandya’s leadership stint didn’t yield the desired results, with MI enduring a lackluster campaign, managing to secure only four victories out of 14 matches, culminating in a bottom-place finish on the points table. With the IPL 2025 looming, the Mumbai team management faces the arduous task of addressing various aspects that require attention to revive their winning streak.
