Shubman Gill’s Indian cricket team rebounded from an initial loss in the first T20I against Zimbabwe by thrashing Sikandar Raza’s squad by 100 runs in the second T20I at Harare Sports Club on Sunday (July 7). This victory leveled the series 1-1, and now the youthful Indian team aims to sustain their winning form to clinch the series in the remaining three matches on foreign soil.
After falling short in the chase of 116 runs in the series opener, the Indian batsmen piled up a formidable 234 runs in the second match, proving decisive in the end. As they prepare for the final three T20Is against Zimbabwe, the team welcomes back three members of India’s victorious T20 World Cup 2024 squad, who recently celebrated with fans in Mumbai before heading to Harare.
Their return boosts India’s batting prowess, though it also presents a selection challenge for the team management.
