Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah thrilled fans with his dazzling arrival at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. Currently taking a break from international cricket, Bumrah is using this time to rest and gear up for India’s forthcoming series against Bangladesh. During his downtime, the 30-year-old made a memorable appearance at the institute’s fresher’s day event, and he also shared moments from his visit on Instagram.
“The energy and enthusiasm of the crowd made it truly unforgettable! Thank you @sathyabama.official and Chancellor @mariazeena_johnson for the warm welcome and vibrant atmosphere!,” Bumrah captioned the video post.
The video opens with Bumrah arriving on campus in a sleek, high-end car. Upon stepping out, he greeted the organizing committee. For the occasion, the bowler chose a stylish smoky blue half-sleeve shirt paired with grey trousers. The footage later captures his impressive grand entrance.
Fans, thrilled to see Bumrah having a great time away from the field, flocked to the comments section to share their enthusiasm. Among the many reactions, one admirer even hailed the pacer as the finest bowler of his generation.
Bumrah last represented India in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 against South Africa. In that match, held at Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29, he took two crucial wickets, helping India secure their first ICC trophy in 11 years. Over the course of the tournament, he played in eight matches and claimed 15 wickets, earning him the Player of the Series award for his exceptional bowling performance.
After taking a few months off, Bumrah is expected to return to action for India in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh next month. The series opener is set to be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
