With the 2025 season packed with major tournaments, the Champions Trophy kicking off next month, followed by the IPL in March, fans are eagerly awaiting the action as all ten teams make significant changes to their squads.
India’s star spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, has earned a spot in the India squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy and was retained by Delhi Capitals for a hefty INR 13.25 crore. The 30-year-old has been a key bowler for the franchise over the past three seasons.
Known for challenging batters with his tricky deliveries, Kuldeep recently turned the tables during a live chat with an RCB fan. When the fan jokingly suggested that RCB might need a goalkeeper, Kuldeep quickly fired back, saying, “What they really need is a trophy, not a goalkeeper.

“We Need A Goalkeeper,” the fan asked Kuldeep during an interview.
“You Don’t Need Goalkeeper You Need IPL Trophy,” Kuldeep replied to the fan.

Kuldeep Yadav’s IPL journey has seen him play for two franchises—Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from 2016 to 2021, and Delhi Capitals since 2022. As he enters his fourth season with DC, Kuldeep has played 84 IPL matches, claiming 87 wickets at an average of 27.44 and an economy rate of 8.20. His best performance came in 2022 when he took impressive figures of 4/14 against KKR. Last season, he was one of the standout bowlers for Delhi, finishing as their third-highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets from 11 matches.
