With a busy schedule ahead for the Pakistan Cricket Team, Hasan Ali and his teammates are bracing for significant challenges due to his ongoing elbow problem. This persistent injury has been affecting Hasan’s performance in both domestic and international cricket for the past few years.
Currently, Hasan is facing a severe career dilemma as his elbow issue has worsened, casting serious uncertainty over his participation in the crucial upcoming matches for Pakistan.
Hasan Ali faces a career crisis as elbow injury worsens
Pakistan’s medium pacer Hasan Ali is reportedly still suffering from persistent elbow pain, casting doubt on his availability for the upcoming two-Test series against Bangladesh at home. It appears that Hasan will require comprehensive treatment for his elbow injury, which is likely to keep him out of Pakistan’s forthcoming domestic matches.
According to a report from Cricket Pakistan, the elbow issue has been a significant obstacle for Hasan, hindering his ability to finish games during his stint with Warwickshire County Cricket Club in England. Despite his continuous efforts, the injury has severely affected his performance, making it challenging for him to bowl effectively.
As the situation worsens, Hasan is expected to undergo intensive treatment to address the ongoing elbow problem, jeopardizing his participation in the anticipated two-Test series against Bangladesh next month.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s 2024-25 home season is set to be quite busy. It will commence with Bangladesh’s tour of Pakistan for the two-Test series. The first Test will be held in Rawalpindi from August 21-25, followed by the second Test in Karachi from August 30-September 3.

England will then travel to Pakistan for a three-Test series, with matches scheduled in Multan (October 7-11), Karachi (October 15-19), and Rawalpindi (October 24-28). Following this, the West Indies will visit Pakistan for two Tests, set to take place in Karachi (January 16-20) and Multan (January 24-28).
In addition to these significant Test fixtures against Bangladesh, England, and the West Indies, Multan will host an ODI tri-series featuring New Zealand and South Africa from February 8-14, in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
Beyond these home series, Pakistan will undertake tours of Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa from November 4 to January 7. During these tours, Pakistan will play two Tests, nine ODIs, and nine T20Is.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to announce the Test squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh, and the latest news regarding Hasan Ali’s injury is a concerning development for the hosts, especially with a blockbuster home season leading up to the Champions Trophy 2025.
