Shivam Dube shared insights about the atmosphere in India’s dressing room during their successful T20 World Cup 2024 campaign.

Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube has shared insights into the atmosphere within the Indian team’s dressing room during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Dube mentioned that the environment is both relaxed and focused.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, Team India has maintained an unbeaten record in the tournament so far. They started with an 8-wicket victory over Ireland and followed it up with a tight 6-run win against Pakistan. Continuing their strong form, they defeated USA by 7 wickets to secure a spot in the Super 8 round. Their final group match against Canada was washed out due to rain, but with 7 points, India topped Group A.

In the Super 8 stage, the Indian team continued their dominance with a 47-run victory over Afghanistan and a convincing 50-run win against Bangladesh. As the 2007 T20 World Cup champions, they remain undefeated in the tournament heading into the next phase.

Shivam Dube- We are relaxed and very much focused

Speaking with Star Sports anchor Tanay Tiwary, Shivam Dube disclosed that currently, the atmosphere in Team India’s dressing room is calm and composed. However, he emphasized that the team remains fully focused on securing victory in their upcoming match.

“It’s good. We are relaxed and very much focused. So whenever you are relaxed, and I think it is more important to focus what you have to do. So all of the team, all of the support staff has a goal. But yeah, they are very focused what we have to do next”, they said. 

Reflecting on his performance in the recent match against Bangladesh, Shivam Dube shared that he approached his batting without feeling any pressure and simply enjoyed the game. Dube scored 34 runs from 24 balls and contributed significantly to a vital 53-run partnership with Hardik Pandya for the 5th wicket.

“Yeah, definitely. I was waiting for one of the knock but last game I could not but this game I got settled and I got the time So there was no pressure”, the left-handed batter said. 

“I was enjoying. So yeah, I got some success today So there was no pressure. I was enjoying. So yeah, I got some success today So, yeah, I got some success today”, the left-arm seamer further added.
