Indian opener Shubman Gill is set to captain a youthful squad during India’s upcoming tour to Zimbabwe. The series will feature five T20Is scheduled from July 6-14, all to be held in Harare.
Senior players such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are anticipated to be rested for this series. The squad is likely to include promising talents like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Tushar Deshpande, and Harshit Rana.
Shubman Gill assumes the captaincy following the decisions of Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav to opt out of the Zimbabwe series. Additionally, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who were named as reserves in the T20I squad, will also join the touring squad.
