Sri Lanka Cricket Team received a significant setback just before their eagerly anticipated limited-overs series against India. As both teams gear up for the start of the three-match T20I series on July 27, followed by a three-match ODI series beginning on August 2, Sri Lanka faced a major setback with the news that their key fast bowler, Dushmantha Chameera, has been ruled out of the upcoming home series against India. Colombo-based journalist Azzam Ameen reported that Chameera will not be available for the series against India.

However, Azzam Ameen did not specify whether Chameera’s absence extends to both the T20I and ODI series, citing an injury that has sidelined the Sri Lankan speedster against India. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), however, has not issued any official confirmation regarding Chameera’s status at this point.
The upcoming three-match T20I series is scheduled to take place at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on July 27, 28, and 30. Following this, the three matches of the ODI series are set to be held on August 2, 4, and 7 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
