Riyan Parag and Harshit Rana received their debut India ODI call-ups as the BCCI unveiled the squads for the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka white-ball series starting July 27. Rohit Sharma returns as the ODI captain, with Shubman Gill appointed as his deputy.
Parag replaces Sanju Samson in the squad, despite Samson’s century in his last ODI appearance against South Africa in December 2023.
The forthcoming series marks Gautam Gambhir’s debut as coach for the away series, and he aims to kick off his tenure on a positive note.
