Suryakumar Yadav’s mantra for success as India’s captain
In a previously aired video posted by Star Sports on X (formerly Twitter), Suryakumar Yadav discusses the responsibilities of being India’s captain. He emphasizes the familiarity among players, forged through extensive IPL and domestic cricket experiences, which has enabled them to understand each other’s capabilities and areas for improvement.
” I am really enjoying this new role (when asked about the mantra for success of captaincy). I am enjoying spending time with everyone. We all have played against each other a lot either in franchise cricket or in state cricket. So, it’s not difficult to understand the strengths and weaknesses. We spend so much time off the field that our camaraderie on the field also gets better,” Suryakumar said in the video.
He further stated that he likes keeping things simple and believes in following the process rather than doing something differently.
“Keeping things simple is extremely important for me. I am a process-oriented person and I like to keep things simple. My advice for everyone is to keep things simple and not to try to be another version of yourself,” India’s new T20I captain further added.
