India’s middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav has yielded the top spot in the ICC T20I batting rankings to Australia’s opening dynamo Travis Head. Suryakumar had maintained this position since December 2023 and has previously topped the rankings.
Known for his audacious strokeplay, Suryakumar is a pivotal figure in India’s T20 lineup, renowned for his aggressive batting style. In the T20 World Cup 2024, he amassed 149 runs in six matches, averaging 29.80 with a strike rate of 139.25, showcasing his prowess in the format.
Suryakumar Yadav played pivotal roles in India’s victories against the USA and Afghanistan. Additionally, he contributed a rapid 31 runs from just 16 balls in India’s final Super 8 match against Australia.
Travis Head surpasses Suryakumar Yadav to claim the top spot in the latest ICC Rankings. He is also the second-highest run-scorer in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
