Jasprit Bumrah, who last played in the T20 World Cup 2024, has been absent from the Indian squad since then. He was given a break for the white-ball tour against Sri Lanka and has not been included in any Duleep Trophy squads. Reports suggest that Bumrah will also be rested for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Bumrah is expected to make his return for the three-Test series against New Zealand, starting on October 16.
