On August 8, Neeraj Chopra secured his place among India’s elite athletes by winning his second Olympic medal. The 26-year-old from Haryana achieved a silver in the men’s javelin throw final at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with a distance of 89.45 meters on his second attempt, ensuring a spot on the podium.
This back-to-back Olympic medal solidified Neeraj’s status as India’s most successful individual athlete in Olympic history, and his remarkable achievement was celebrated by Indian fans around the world.
Among the many legends who commended Neeraj Chopra for his remarkable achievement was former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. Taking to X, Yuvraj expressed his joy over Neeraj’s success, noting that the Paris Olympic medalist has “brought a golden moment to every Indian heart.”
Yuvraj also extended his congratulations to Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who clinched the gold medal with a record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters.
