During the Men’s Hundred tournament, Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf faced mockery from a fan who brought up Virat Kohli’s two sixes against him from their T20 World Cup 2022 group stage match. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media.
Currently playing for Welsh Fire in the Men’s Hundred 2024, Rauf delivered a strong performance in his recent match against London Spirit, claiming three wickets for 20 runs from 17 balls. Despite his efforts, his team was unable to win while defending a total of 94 runs.

In a viral video on X, Haris Rauf was seen positioned near the boundary line during a match in the Men’s Hundred tournament. A fan started taunting him by referencing Virat Kohli’s two sixes from T20 World Cup 2022. Rauf, visibly annoyed by the taunt, responded to the fan in a straightforward manner.
“Melbourne abhi bhi yaad aata hai? Virat ke 2 chakke (Do you still remember Melbourne? Virat’s two sixes),” a random fan said.
In the T20 World Cup 2022, Virat Kohli played a spectacular knock against Pakistan. Kohli hit two crucial sixes off Haris Rauf in the final two balls of the 19th over when 28 runs were needed. Kohli scored an unbeaten 82 from 53 balls, with six fours and four sixes, as India chased a 160-run target on the last ball.
Haris Rauf Delivers Impressive Performance in Recent Hundred 2024 Match
Welsh Fire faced difficulties against London Spirit’s disciplined bowling attack after being put in to bat first at Lord’s on August 1. They could only muster 94 runs, losing nine wickets in their 100 deliveries. Luke Wells was the highest scorer for Welsh Fire, contributing 23 runs off 8 balls with two fours and two sixes.
In their pursuit, London Spirit initially struggled, losing four wickets for just 38 runs. Haris Rauf was instrumental in this collapse, claiming key wickets including Dan Lawrence (29), Ravi Bopara (2), and Andre Russell (0). Rauf ended his spell with impressive figures of 3 wickets for 20 runs from 17 balls.
Matt Henry supported Haris Rauf with a strong performance. Henry took 3 wickets for 19 runs from 20 balls. However, London Spirit successfully chased the target. They reached 96 for 7 with 13 balls to spare. Shimron Hetmyer scored 30 runs off 21 balls, including two fours and two sixes, to secure the win.
Haris Rauf will next be seen in action when Welsh Fire take on Trent Rockets in a group stage match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Saturday, August 3. The Tom Abell-led team is currently in fifth place in the eight-team points table. They have won one match and lost two so far in The Men’s Hundred 2024.
