Virat Kohli’s trendsetting haircut
The intensity of Test cricket has reached new heights with Australia and India locking horns in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25). After three thrilling Tests marked by dramatic swings, the series is tied 1-1, setting the stage for a gripping encounter at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) for the much-anticipated Boxing Day Test, scheduled to begin on December 26.
India started strong with a win in Perth, but faltered in the pink-ball Test and was fortunate to escape with a draw in Brisbane, aided by rain. Amid the team’s struggles with the bat, Virat Kohli, despite a superb century in Perth, has seemed out of sorts. Yet, in typical Kohli fashion, he’s found a way to refresh and recharge off the field—this time, by getting a stylish new haircut from celebrity hairstylist Jordan Tabakman ahead of the MCG showdown.

On Friday, December 20, the Delhi-born cricketer was seen with Tabakman, who shared glimpses of the session with fans on social media. This wasn’t the first time Kohli had trusted Tabakman with his hair—he also did so during the T20 World Cup in 2022.
Kohli is not alone in his admiration for the Australian stylist; players like Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya have also sought out Tabakman’s expertise in the past. With this new look, Kohli will hope to bring some fresh energy to his game as India prepares for the next Test battle.
